THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. ~ 7 /
AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING A NONEXCLUSIVE COMMUNITY
ANTENNA TELEVISION SYSTEM FRANCHISE IN THE CITY OF
BEL AIRE, KANSAS AND AMENDING SUBSECTION (a) OF
SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS:
Section 1. Amending Subsection (a) of Section 3 of Ordinance Number 1
Subsection (a) of Section 3 of Ordinance Number 1 of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas is amended
to read as follows:
"(a) This nonexclusive franchise and the rights, privileges, and authority hereby granted
shall take effect and be in full force from and after final passage by the City Council and shall
continue in force and effect for a term of fifteen and one half (15Y2) years from said passage, until
September 23, 1996."
All other sections of Ordinance Number 1, not previously amended, shall remain in full
force and effect.
Section 2.
Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official
city newspaper.

FRANCHISE EXTENSION AGREEMENT MADE
AND ENTERED INTO THIS /'IIJ.. DAY OF

THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS,
AND MULTIMEDIA CABLEVISION, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Bel Aire, a Kansas municipal corporation (the "City"),
has heretofore adopted an Ordinance dated March 24, 1981, granting Multimedia
Cablevision, Inc., ("Grantee") a franchise to provide cable television seIVice within the
City ("Cable Television Ordinance");
WHEREAS, Grantee has now applied to the City for an extension of the said
Cable Television Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, on the basis of discussions between the proper officers of the City
and Grantee, the City and Grantee are prepared to enter into a Franchise Extension
Agreement upon the terms and conditions hereinafter contained;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing premises and of the
mutual covenants and conditions hereinafter contained, the parties hereby agree as
follows:
1. Extension of Franchise. The City hereby grants and Grantee hereby
accepts an extension of its Franchise for a further period of six (6) months, said
extension to commence from the present expiration date of the franchise term heretofore
granted, which is March 24, 1996, and will expire September 23, 1996.
2. Incorporation of Cable Television Ordinance. Except as modified herein,
all of the terms, conditions, and provisions contained in the Cable Television Ordinance,
together with all of the terms, conditions, and provisions of the Agreement are hereby
expressly incorporated in and made a part of this Franchise Extension Agreement.
