ORDINANCE NO. 14 /7 C 1
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, TO CORRECT AN INACCURATE CITATION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 17 (Licenses, Taxation, and Miscellaneous Business
Regulations) Section 226 (Receiving goods from minors) of the Code of the City of
Jefferson is hereby amended as follows:
Sec 17-226 Receiving goods from minors.
None of the following merchants shall take,buy or receive any personal property from any person
under the age of eighteen (18) years without the written consent of such individual's parents or
guardians:
A. Pawnbrokers;
B. Merchants dealing in used bicycles;
C. Transient merchants,itinerant merchants or itinerant vendors,as defined by section 24=114 i i;
D. Canvassers,solicitor or peddlers,as defined by section 24=90-?-5}.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective from and after the date of its
passage and approval.
