RESOLUTION NO. 12-8379
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER TO INVESTIGATE AND RECOMMEND A
PROCESS WHEREBY THE CITY WOULD CONVERT ONE
THIRD OF SHERBONDY PARK FIELD AREA INTO
ADDITIONAL PARKING; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the completion of Sherbondy Park Village has left a shortage of parking,
including for the new building; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires that one-third of the
Sherbondy Park field area be utilized for additional parking; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka directs the City Manager to
investigate and recommend a process to convert one-third of the Sherbondy Park field area into
additional parking.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, hereby authorizes and directs
the City Manager to investigate and recommend a process for the conversion of one-third of the
Sherbondy Park field area, on the Perviz Avenue side (east side), into additional parking.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
