HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-8380 Remove Any cost Requirement imposed From City Employee to Obtain a Copy of their Personnel Sponsored by: Commissioner Holmes RESOLUTION NO. 12-8380 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO REMOVE ANY COST REQUIREMENT IMPOSED UPON CITY EMPLOYEE TO OBTAIN A COPY OF THEIR PERSONNEL FILE;PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, City employees are charged a fee for obtaining copies of their personnel file; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, desires to remove the cost imposed upon employees to obtain copies of their personnel file. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida, hereby directs and authorizes the City Manager to remove all costs imposed on employees seeking to obtain a copy of their personnel file,provided that employees shall be entitled to one complimentary copy of their file annually. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 11th day of April, 2012.
