RESOLUTION NO. 12-8381
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO SPECIFY AND SET THE
SALARY OF THE CITY CLERK, TO START AT $75,000;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka is currently attempting to fill the
vacant position of City Clerk; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka,desires to set the salary for the
City Clerk; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission desires to specify that the City Clerk's salary shall start at
$75,000 per year; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission will review the City Clerk's salary after six(6) months,
and award, upon satisfactory review, an increase of$3,000; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission will review the City Clerk's salary after one year from
hiring, and award,upon satisfactory review,an increase of$3,000,making the annual salary for the
City Clerk, $81,000, which shall be the maximum salary for the City Clerk.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka,Florida,hereby specifies the
terms of the salary of the City Clerk, who is to start at$75,000 per year,to be reviewed after six(6)

months,and upon satisfactory review,receive an increase of$3,000,and after one year from hiring,
upon satisfactory review, to receive an additional increase of$3,000, making City Clerk's annual
salary$81,000, which shall be the maximum salary for the City Clerk.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
