RESOLUTION NO. 12-8382
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO SPECIFY AND SET THE
SALARY FOR THE INTERIM CITY CLERK, AT $75,000,
RETROACTIVE TO FEBRUARY 8, 2012, AND UPON THE
HIRING OF A PERMANENT CITY CLERK, THE INTERIM
CITY CLERK WILL REVERT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL
POSITION AS ASSISTANT CITY CLERK AND WILL THEN
BE PAID A SALARY OF $65,000 ANNUALLY, PAYABLE
FROM ACCOUNT NO. 16-512110; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka,Florida desires to temporarily
increase the salary of the Interim City Clerk until a permanent City Clerk is appointed; and
WHEREAS,the Interim City Clerk's salary shall be set at $75,000 per year, retroactive to
February 8, 2012, and shall continue at that level until the City fills the permanent City Clerk
position; and
WHEREAS,upon hiring a permanent City Clerk,the Interim City Clerk will revert back to
her previous position of Assistant City Clerk and will then be paid a salary of$65,000.00 per year.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka,Florida,hereby specifies the
terms of the salary of the Interim City Clerk, which shall be set at $75,000 per year, retroactive to
February 8,2012,and upon hiring a permanent City Clerk,the Interim City Clerk will revert back to

her previous position of Assistant City Clerk and will then be paid a salary of$65,000.00 per year,
payable from Account No. 16-512110.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 11th day of April,2012.
