RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION/ACCEPTA1'!CE OF AN
APPLICATION TO THE NEW JERSEY URBAN ENTERPRISE ZONE
AUTHORITY FOR ENTERPRISE ZONE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE
FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2010 ADMINISTRATIVE BUDGET
\VHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret and the Economic Development corporation have
prepared a proposal for submission to the New Jersey Urb'lO Enterprise Zone Authority
for funding the FY2010 Administrative Budget; and
\VHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret, an Urban Community, participates with the State
of New Jersey VEZ program which utilizes 1% of the 31/2% sales tax in the
administration of this program; and
\VHEREAS, said proposal and requested funds are to be expended to carry out projects
within the designated enterprise zone in the Borough of Carteret, for the following
project:

Anticipated VEZ Assistance in the amount of:
$80,000.00
\VHEREAS, the funds shall be used to subsidize the administrative cost of the VEZ
Program; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:27H-88(c) in order to make funds available to the
project from monies deposited in the Enterprise Zone Administrative Funds, the
Governing Body must adopt a resolution approving the project and authorizing the
submission of the application for funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Governing Body of the Borongh of
Carteret hereby authorizes and directs submission of said UEZ budget for FY2010.
