RESOLUTION NO. 12-8387
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA REGARDING THE COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, TO APPOINT JOHNNIE
MAE GREEN AND JAMES DIXON AS BOARD MEMBERS
OF THE OPA-LOCKA COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Section 163.357(1)(c), Florida Statutes, provides that a governing body
which has five members may appoint two additional persons to act as members of a Community
Redevelopment Agency(CRA); and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to appoint two
additional persons to serve as Board Members of the Opa-locka Community Redevelopment
Agency; and
WHEREAS, Johnnie Mae Green is the first additional person to be appointed, so as per
F.S. 163.357(1)(c), she shall serve a term of two (2) years; and
WHEREAS, as per F.S. 163.357(1)(c), James Dixon is the second additional person to
be appointed, and he shall serve a term of four(4) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Session 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Session 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, hereby appoints two (2)
additional Board Members to the Opa-locka Community Redevelopment Agency, Johnnie Mae
Green (to serve a two (2) year term), and James Dixon(to serve a four(4) year term).

Session 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
