The Wellsburg Town Council met in special session on March 20, 19729
with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all councilmen present.
John Riekena, representing Iowa Electric Light and Fower, met with the
council to discuss the installation of additional street lights.
A motion was made by Van Deest, seconded by Huisman, to adopt a res-
olution to approve the installation of street lights at East Jackson
and 8th Street and at Washington and 8th.

Ayes: Van Deest, Huisman, Hippen, Fairbanks, Heinrich
Nays: None Absent:None
Gene Blythe and Al Blythe met with the council to discuss a
property transfer. After considerable discussion, the meeting was
recessed until March 21 at 6:00 P.M. to view said property.
On a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Fairbanks, it was agreed to
pursue the Blythe proposal and to seek legal advice on said transfer.
Carried.

with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all councilmen present.
Ernie Blythe and Al Blythe along with two engineers from the D.C.
Taylor Co. met with the council. The proposal to transfer property for
the swimming pool site and the old dump site was discussed.
The meeting stood adjourned.

The Wellsburg Town Council met in regular session on April 3,
1972, with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all councilmen present.
Minutes of the March meeting were read and approved on a
motion by Van Deest, seconded by Heinrich. Carried.
On a motion by Fairbanks, seconded by Heinrich, the treasurer's
report was accepted as read. Carried.
Following a motion by Hippen, seconded by Huisman, the follow-
ing bills were allowed for payment:

Hollis Ryken, town engineer, reviewed with the council sanitary
sewer extensions.
On a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Heinrich, the resolution
to exchange a plot of ground, Lot 33, known as the former sewer and
dump site, for a tract of land in Lot 29 with the Blythe Brothers,
said property proposed as a swimming pool and park site.

Following a motion by Huisman, seconded by Van Deest, the meeting
stood adjourned.

The Wellsburg Town Council met in special session on April 24,
1972, with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all council members present.
Ordinance No. 24.78 pertaining to the exchange of certain real
estate owned by the Town of Wellsburg, Iowa, for other real estate
presently owned by third parties and to authorize the execution of
deeds of conveyance to complete the exchange was introduced by Huis-
man.
A motion was made by Van Deest, seconded by Heinrich, to suspend
the rules and dispense with the three readings of Ordinance No. 24.78.

Roll call of votes on adopting the ordinance --

Ordinance No. 24.79 authorizing the conveyance of certain
municipal property in the Town of Wellsburg to the Wellsburg Swimming
Pool Corp., Inc. for the purpose of construction of a swimming pool
upor said property was introduced by Van Deest.
A motion was made by Fairbanks, seconded by Hippen, to suspend
the rules and dispense with the three readings of Ordinance No. 24.79
