Resolution No. 12-8401
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO RESCIND
RESOLUTIONS IN SUPPORT OF THE OPA-LOCKA
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORP PERTAINING TO
THE CHOICE NEIGHBORHOOD INITIATIVE
APPLICATION; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,the Opa-locka Community Development Corp proposed a project known as the
Choice Neighborhood Initiative (CNI), to implement a Transformation Plan for the City of Opa-
locka Nile Gardens area; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka supported the efforts of the
Community Development Corp for the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative(CNI)and Transformation
Plan; and
WHEREAS,the City approved Resolution Numbers: 12-8355, 12-8356, 12-8357, 12-8358,
12-8359, 12-8360, 12-8361, 12-8362, 12-8363, 12-8364, 12-8365, 12-8366, 12-8367, 12-8374 in
support of the CNI; and
WHEREAS,since unfortunately the Choice Neighborhood Initiative is not going forward at
this time,the City desires to rescind Resolution Numbers 12-8355, 12-8356, 12-8357, 12-8358, 12-
8359, 12-8360, 12-8361, 12-8362, 12-8363, 12-8364, 12-8365, 12-8366, 12-8367, 12-8374.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Resolution No. 12-8401
Section 2. Resolution Numbers 12-8355, 12-8356, 12-8357, 12-8358, 12-8359, 12-8360,
12-8361, 12-8362, 12-8363, 12-8364, 12-8365, 12-8366, 12-8367, 12-8374 are hereby rescinded.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
