RESOLUTION NO. 12-8403
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT FOR
COMMERCIAL SOLID WASTE SERVICES THROUGH
FEBRUARY 2013; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City's contract for commercial solid waste services will expire in June
2012; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to have the contract
for commercial solid waste services extended through February 2013, in order to allow sufficient
time for a competitive process for the new contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka directs and authorizes the
City Manager to extend the contract for commercial solid waste services through February 2013.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of April, 2012.
