RESOLUTION NO. 12-8404
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, TO NAME THE CITY
COMMISSION AS A SEARCH COMMITTEE TO SOLICIT
FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES FOR THE POSITION OF
CITY MANAGER FOR THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,pursuant to Resolution No. 11-8280, Bryan K. Finnie was appointed as City
Manager through the end of June 2012; and
WHEREAS, the date of June 2012 is rapidly approaching, the City Commission of the
City of Opa-locka desires to create a committee to recruit a qualified candidate to fill the
position; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No 09-15, amended Article I, Chapter 2, Section 2-8.4, of the
City Code, Search Committee Established, to permit the City Commission of the City of
Opa-locka to serve as the Search Committee if so desired.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. As per Article I, Section 2-8.4 of the City Code, entitled "Search
Committee Established", the City of Opa-locka Search Committee will solicit for a qualified
candidate to fill the position of City Manager for the City of Opa-locka. The Committee will be
a five member committee composed of the City Commission.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
