HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-8416 Install a Modular Trailer by Modspace for the Public Works Sponsored by: City Manager Resolution No. 12-8416 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL A MODULAR TRAILER BY MODSPACE FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS AND UTILITIES DEPARTMENT AS A STAFF LUNCHROOM,IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIX THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE DOLLARS($6,665.00)PAYABLE FROM ACCOUNT NOS.35-535520 AND 39-541520; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Public Works & Utilities Department staff does not have a lunchroom and are currently using a shed (steel truss structure)to eat lunch; and WHEREAS,the Manager recommends that the City Commission approve the purchase of a modular trailer to serve as the lunchroom and kitchen,and which can also serve as a multipurpose room for meetings, seminars and workshops; and WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to authorize the City Manager to purchase and install a Modular trailer to be used as a lunchroom for the Public Works and Utilities Department staff; and WHEREAS, the proposal by Modspace, for a used trailer, but one in excellent condition, is the cheapest available option and will serve the City's needs; and WHEREAS, $3,332.50 of the costs shall be paid from Account number 35-535550(Water&Sewer Fund),and$3,332.50 paid from Account Number 39-541520(General Fund),making the total cost$6,665.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes the City Manager to Resolution No. 12-8416 purchase and install a modular trailer by Modspace to be utilized by the Public Works and Utilities Department as a lunchroom/kitchen facility for the Public Works and Utilities Department staff, in an amount not to exceed Six Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-five Dollars($6,665.00),payable equally from Account Numbers 35- 535520 and 39-541520 Section 3.
