HomeMy Public PortalAbout1991-64Member Mitchell introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 91-64 RESOLUTION ORDERING PUBLIC HEARING ON ASSESSMENT OF IMPROVEMENT OF PIONEER TRAIL FROM T . H . 55 TO A POINT 1500 SOUTHEAST THEREOF WHEREAS, pursuant to direction by the City Council, a feasibility report has been prepared by Bonestroo, Anderlik & Associates, consulting engineers, with reference to the improvement of Pioneer Trail from T . H . 55 to a point 1500 southeast thereof by constructing a roadway with stabilization fabric, 12 inches of aggregate base and 4 1/2 inches of bituminous paving, 24 feet wide with 6 foot gravel shoulders; and WHEREAS, said report was received by the City Council on August 6, 1991. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota as follows: 1. A public hearing will be held on the proposed assessment of the Pioneer Trail improvement project on October 1, 1991, at 8 : 00 p.m. in the council chambers at city hall at which time and place all persons owning property affected by such assessment will be given an opportunity to be heard thereon. 2. The city clerk -treasurer, with the assistance of the consulting engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for the improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and shall file a proposed assessment in her office for public inspection. 3. The city clerk -treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to cause a notice of the proposed hearing on the assessment to be published in the official newspaper and cause a copy of the notice to be mailed to the owner of each parcel proposed to be assessed as required by law.
