RESOLUTION AUTHORIZlNG THE REJECTlNG OF BIDS AND
AUTHORIZlNG REBIDDlNG - ANNUAL SEWER SYSTEM EMERGENCY
SERVICES CONTRACT
'VHEREAS, the Borough of eartcret, (the ''Borough'') has previously solicited and
received bids for the Annual Sewer System Emergency Service Contract on June 12,
2009; and

has determined that all of the submittals substantially exceed his anticipated budget for
said work; and
\VHEREAS, the engineer finds it necessary to reduce the scope of the proposed contract
work and rebid for the reduced scope ot-work in order to meet the budgetary constraints.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that all of the bid submittals
received for the Armual Sewer System Emergency Service Contract are hereby rejected
and the return of all of the bidders' bid bonds is hereby directed, along with a notification
of the rejection of all bids.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Borough Engineer and the Purchasing
Department are hereby authorized to reduce the necessary scope of contract work and
rebid for the same.
