Resolution No. 12-8431
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO RESUME HOSTING AN
ARABIAN NIGHTS FESTIVAL IN THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,
SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF A PLAN BY THE CITY
COMMISSION; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in prior years the City of Opa-locka hosted the Arabian Nights Festival as an
annual event; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to resume hosting the
Arabian Nights Festival.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka authorizes and directs the City
Manager to prepare a plan to resume hosting the Arabian Nights Festival in the Great City of Opa-
locka, subject to approval by the City Commission.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
