CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
MINUTES
May 7, 1974
INITIATION:
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Dennis called the meeting of the Community Redevelop-
ment Agency to order at 8:35 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 1974, in
the Council Chamber of the City Hall.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present:.. Members- Gilbertson, Greenberg,Merritt,Tyrell,Dennis
Absent: Members -None
Also Present: Executi ±e. Director Koski, Assistant Director
Dragicevich, City Attorney Martin
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: -
Mr. Tyrell moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting
held April 2, 1974, as written, seconded by Mr. Greenberg and
carried, Mr. Merritt abstaining.
Mr. Merritt moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting
held April 16, 1974, as written, seconded by Mr. Gilbertson and
carried unanimously.
4. PROPOSALS RE: PROPERTY NEGOTIATION SERVICES:
Executive Director Koski presented two proposals relating to legal
and consultant's services for acquisition of real estate properties
in Parcel "B" of the Rosemead Boulevard Redevelopment Project;
1) Charles Martin for condemnation and trial action in the amount
of $1,000; and 2) Mr. A. Serest for negotiation services for
acquisition of real properties in the estimated amount of $11,000.
The agreements have been reviewed and approved by Special Counsel,
Tom Parrington.
Mr. Gilbertson moved to approve the two separate proposals for
legal and consultation services relating to Parcel "B" of the
Rosemead Boulevard Redevelopment Project and request the City Council
to approve an advance of additional funds as a loan to the Agency
and to amend the agreement with the Community Redevelopment Agency
accordingly, seconded by Mr. Merritt and carried unanimously.
5. REQUEST FOR CONSULTANT'S FEES:
Executive Director Koski presented background information, stating
acquisition appraisal of the properties in Parcel "B" of the
Rosemead Boulevard Redevelopment Project is in process; approximately
14 Title Insurance and Trust Company reports have been sent to the
Agency to date. Additional funds are needed to carry out the project
as set forth in memo dated May'l, 1974, to include: 1) Special Counsel
bill for March, 1974, in the amount of $4,324.58; 2) Title Insurance
and Trust Company to prepare reports for all remaining parcels, in
the amount of $3,200; and 3) M. W. Finley Company for preparation
of topographical map for Parcel "B" in the amount of $1,950.
Mr. Gilbertson moved to request the City Council to approve an
advance of additional funds as a loan to the Agency as requested
and to amend the agreement with the Community Redevelopment Agency
accordingly, seconded by Mr, Merritt and carried unanimously.

6. COMMUNICATIONS:
Agency received a communication from Mrs. T. Schlotfeldt
expressing her appreciation and satisfaction with the services
rendered to them by the appraisers.
7. ADJOURNMENT:
On motion by Mr. Merritt, seconded by Mr. Gilbertson, meeting
adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
