It was the consensus that the language establishing a special permit process for reducing parking requirements was acceptable as drafted. Ms. DeVeuve expressed concern about the reduction in the parking requirement for restaurants to 1 space per 4 seats, and questioned whether that would be sufficient. The Committee discussed the issue, and requested that Ms. Lazarus look at Carbone’s to see whether they comply with the current parking requirement, and to look at standards that incorporate employee parking either separately or within the ratio. 3. Floodplain Bylaw Ms. Lazarus noted that the State is conducting a review of the Town’s bylaw to determine what changes are needed to comply with the new FEMA maps and regulations. It was noted that at the least, the map reference will change. Mr. Weismantel asked Ms. Lazarus to also follow up with Steven Zieff, as he had made an observation relative to the bylaw and there was possibly something else that needed to be changed. 4. Administrative Business The Committee voted 5 in favor with two abstentions (DeVeuve, Pacheco) to approve the minutes of the December 9, 2009 meeting. Adjourned: 8:20 PM Elaine C.
