Arday, February 18, 1969. The Meeting was called to order at 8:00 P. M. by the Noderator, Grant W. Koch with June Gallant, Paul Sylver, Elizabeth Linnell, Jean Gage and Dorothea Dugan serving as ballot clerks and checkers. There was a moment of silent prayer. A quorum. (40) was declared present. The Warrant was read by Town Clerk, Donald P. Consodine, with the exception of the articles which were read as they were being considered. ARTICLE 1. To see of the Town will accept membership in a regional school district together with the towns of Eastham, Orleans, and `vvellfleet in accordance with a proposed amendment of the district agreement initiated by the Regional District School Committee on January 24, 1969, which is incorporated herein by reference and posted with this warrant. The amendment will not take effect unless the incurring of district debt for the construction of the additional school facility described below is authorized no Nater than March 21, 1969. (The regional District School Committee authorized 15,417,170. debt for constructing, originally equip- ping and furnishing a new district high school. on January 24, 1969. if this debt is not disapproved by the towns presently in the district, Brewster will become obligated to pay its share of the debt service on the bonds according to the terms of the agreement by accepting membership in the district.) Voted unanimously to accept membership in a regional school distract with the towns of Eastham, Orleans and Wellfleet in accordance with the teras of a proposed amendment to the district agreement initiated by.the Regional School District Committee on January 24, 1969. ARTICLE 2. To see if the town wil:i vote to appropriate a sum of money from the Stabilization Fund to the Eastham-Orleans-Welifleet (Nauset) Regional School District for constructing, originally equipping and furn- ishing a new district high school. Voted unanimously that the sum of $17,460. be appropriated from the Stabilization Fund to the Eastham Orleans-Wellfleet (Nauset) Regional School District for constructing, Originally equipping and furnishing a new district high school, provided that this vote shall not be effective unless funds aggregating at least $100,000. (including this appropriation) are appropriated from their respective Stabilization Funds by the towns of Eastham, Orleans, Wellfleet and Brewster for this` project. (2/3 vote required.) ARTIGLE 3. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate $102,492.34 to the Eastham Orleans- e?lfleet (Nauset) Regional School. District for the purpose of paying 1969 capital and operating costs of the district and reimbursing the district for prior expenditures as provided in the proposed amendment of the district agreement described in Article 1. Voted unanimously that the su= of $102,492.34 be appropriated to the Eastham-Orleans-Tellfleet (Nauset) Regional. School District, of which 04,674. represents the town's share of 1969 operating costs, $8,378.34 represents the town's share of 1969 capital. costs, $3,710, represents the town's 1969 payment for the Orleans Nigh School and $15,730. represents the town's 1969 payment for the high school addition. All such amounts shall be paid to the district in the manner provided in the proposed amendment to the district agreement initiated by the School District Committee on January 24, 1969, but if such amendment does not become effective by March 21, 1969, this appropriation shall lapse. A rising vote of thanks was given to hire Lawrence Crocker and other members of the Regional School Planning Committee. ARTICLE 4. To act -or_ any other business that may legally come before this meeting. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:16 P.M. A true copy ATTEST: Donald P.
