February 18 , 1969

To Roland W . Bassett , Constable of the Town of Brewster
Greetings :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby
directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of Brewster qualified to vote
in Town affairs to meet at the Brewster School Auditorium on Tuesday,
the eighteenth day of February next at eight o ' clock in the evening , then
and there to act or_ the following articles .
ARTICLE 1 . To see if the Town will accept membership in a
regional school district together with the towns of Eastham, Orleans , and
Wellf'leet in accordance with a proposed amendment of the district agree-
ment initiated by the Regional District School Committee on January 24 ,
1969 , which is incorporated herein by reference and posted with this
warrant . The amendment will not take effect unless the incurring of
district debt for the construction of the additional school facility des-
cribed below is authorized no later than March 21 , 1969 . ( The Regional
District School Committee authorized $ 5 , 417 , 170 . debt for constructing ,
originally equipping and furnishing a new district high school on January
24 , 1969 . If this debt is not disapproved by the towns presently in the
district , Brewster will become obligated to pay its share of the debt
service on the bonds according to the terms of the agreement by accepting
membership in the district . )
ARTICLE 2 . To see if the town will vote to appropriate a sum cf r ;
money from the Stabilization Fund to the Eastham-Orleans Wellfleet ( Nauset )
Regional School District for constructing, originally equipping and furn-
ishing a new district high school .
ARTICLE 3 . To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate
$1023492 . 34 to the Eastham-Orleans-Well.fleet ( Nauset ) Regional School
District for the purpose of paying 1969 capital and operating costs of the
district and reimbursing the district for prior expenditures as provided
in the proposed amendment of the district agreement described in Article 1 .
ARTICLE 4 . To act on any other business that may legally come before
this meeting .
And you are directed to serve this Warrant with your doings thereon
to the Town Clerk at the time and the place of said meeting as aforesaid .
Given under our hands and the Seal of the ToUm of Brewster affixed
this 31st day of January, 1969 .

attested copies of the warrant for the February 18 special town
meeting , together with attested copies of the proposed atnendement
of the Eastham.-Orleans-Wellfleet Regional Sc c 7 District incorp-
orated by reference in article 1 . of the Warrant at Dugan ' s Garage ,
Brewster 'variety Store , Brewster Post Office , Doane ' s Store and
East Brewster Posy Office .
