COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
MINUTES
August 6, 1974
INITIATION:
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Dennis called the meeting of the Community Redevelop-
ment Agency to order at 7:55 p.m. on Tuesday,'4ugust'6, 1974,
in the Council Chamber of the City Hall,;
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Members - Greenberg, Merritt, Dennis_
Absent: Members- Gilbertson, Tyrell
Also Present: Executive Director Koski, Assistant Director
Dragicevich, City Attorney Martin
Mr. Greenberg moved to excuse Mr. Gilbertson and Mr. Tyrell for
cause, seconded by Mr. Merritt and carried
3. STATUS REPORT:
Executive Director Koski stated the Agency is still negotiating
with property owners for the acquisition of the 17 properties
in Parcel B -1. Chairman Dennis, Special Counsel Jacobs,
Executive Director Koski and Assistant Director Dragicevich
met August 5 to discuss Environmental Protection Agency require-
ments, which have been expressed as a major concern by the
developer. Mr. Koski stated a meeting has been arranged with
representatives of the Environmental Protection Agency in San
Francisco on Friday, August 9, 1974 to determine guidelines and
criteria for issuance of an EPA permit for development of a
parking lot and requested authorization for Chairman Dennis and
himself to attend the meeting.
Executive Director Koski distributed copies of letters from
Special Counsel Tom Parrington and EGS Development Company which
detail their concern with the present financial situation and the
requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency.
Mr. Greenberg moved to approve request to City Council to approve
the appropriate funds for representatives of the Agency to attend
the meeting with representatives of the Envirommental Protection
Agency in San Francisco on August 9, 1974, seconded by Mr. Merritt
and carried.
4. ADJOURNMENT:
Mr. Merritt moved to adjourn to the next regular meeting of the
Community Redevelopment Agency to be held Tuesday, August 20, 1974,
seconded by Mr. Greenberg and carried. Meeting adjourned at
8:00 p.m.
