Absent Eiten. Eilderts moved to approve the minutes of the January regular meeting. Duncan seconded the motion. All ayes,carried. Van Heiden moved to approve the Treasurer's Report for January. Eilderts seconded the motion. All ayes,carried. Eilderts moved to approve the following bills for payment. Duncan seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. Karen Mennenga, Library Director presented the Library Report. Greg Winger, Fire Chief, presented the Fire Department Report. Jamie Madden presented the Public Works Report. Wendy Lage presented the Clerk's report. Evie Haupt presented the Visioning/Economic Development Report. Eilderts moved to pledge up to $100,000.00 toward the playground project. This included monies already expended toward landscape architecture fees. Van Heiden seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. At 7:51 p.m. the Mayor declared this was the time and place for a public hearing on the FY 2024 Proposed Tax Levy. Being there were no oral or written objections, the Mayor closed the hearing at 7:51 p.m. Duncan moved to approve Resolution 02-2023-1 approving the maximum Property Tax Dollars for Budget Year 07-2023 to June 30, 2024. Eilderts seconded the motion. Roll Call of Votes. All ayes, carried. Van Heiden moved to set March 6, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. for a Public Hearing on the proposed FY 2024 Budget. Eiten seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. At 7:55 p.m. the Mayor declared this was the time and place for a public hearing on the proposed FY 2023 Budget Amendment. Being there were not oral or written objections the Mayor closed the public hearing at 7:56 p.m. Eilderts moved to approve Resolution 02-2023-2 Amending the FY 2023 Budget. Duncan seconded the motion. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Kennedy moved to approve Liquor Licenses for Casey's General Store and the Wellsburg Community Club. Duncan seconded the motion.
