Eilderts moved to approve the minutes of the February regular meeting. Eiten seconded the motion. All ayes,carried. Van Heiden moved to approve the Treasurer's Report for February. Karen Mennenga, Library Director, presented the Library Report. Council discussed the replacement or upgrade of Library lighting to LED's and reviewed quote from Buseman Electric. Council will leave the final decision to the Library Board on how to proceed. Greg Winger, Fire Chief, presented the Fire Department Report. The new fire truck is scheduled for delivery on Monday,March 13cn The Council opened bids for the sale of the 1992 Chevy Pick. Trevor Winger was high bid at $1,553.97. Jamie Madden, Public Works, presented the Public Works Report. Council discussed the storm sewer project on Jefferson St. and the 2023 seal coating schedule. Deputy Jonathon Rogers introduced himself to the Council and discussed some concerns within the community. Wendy Lage, City Clerk, informed the Council of her retirement. July 28`n will be her last day in the office, but she plans for vacation out. The Council requested that she start the hiring process for her replacement. Due to legislative changes the Public Hearing for the Proposed FY 2024 budget will not be held. The Council set April 3, 2022 as the date for Public Hearing on the Proposed FY 2024 Budget. Van Heiden moved to approved building permit for 805 S. Madison St. Eilderts seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. Eiten moved to approved liquor license for Meadowbrook Golf Course.
