SUBJECT: Airport Layout Plan
--Supplemental Agreement #2 for Boundary Survey/Exhibit A
--Supplemental Appropriation
Staff requests approval to advance this request to the City Council.
The Missouri Department of Transportation has advised that a new Boundary Survey/Exhibit
A Property Map is required to finish up the Airport Layout Plan. The Exhibit A-property map is
used to identify the property boundary of the airport, used in turn to identify areas eligible for
state and federal funds for airport improvements.
As a result, the City's airport consultant, Burns & McDonnell Consulting Engineers, have
proposed a Supplemental Agreement for this work. The contract requires approval by the
Council as the cost will exceed 10% of the original contract amount and exceeds $10,000.
A supplemental appropriation is needed as this additional project cost was not anticipated in
the 2009-2010 budget. The source of the funds will be from the Capital Improvement Project
fund. This project is eligible for 95% grant reimbursement, requiring a local match from the CIP
of $848.
The history of the Airport Layout Plan project is as follows:
Date Contract Purpose Amount Cumulative Total
2.8,2006 Original Contract ALP $45,993 $45,993
8.22.2006 Amendment#1 405D Survey $1,600 $47,793
Current Amendment#2 Exhibit A Property Ma $16,964 $62,957
