AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH APLEX, INC. FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE ELLIS BOULEVARD STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, Aplex, Inc. has become the apparent lowest and best bidder on the
construction of the Ellis Boulevard Stormwater Improvements project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The bid of Aplex, Inc. is declared to be the lowest and best bid and is
hereby accepted.
Section 2.The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an agreement
with Aplex, Inc. for construction of the Ellis Boulevard Stormwater Improvements.
Section 3. The agreement shall be substantially the same in form and content as
that agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.

Re: Ellis Boulevard Stormwater Improvements
Project No. 33070
Public Works has completed a review of the bids opened at 1:30 PM on April 6, 2010 for the above
noted project. As part of the review all the bids were tabulated to check for math errors and to compare
unit price quotes of the various contractors. Attached to this memo is the tabulation of the eight (oj bids
that were received for the project.
Based on our review, we recommend acceptance of the base bid from the low bidder Aplex, Inc., 3199
County Road 303, Linn MO 65051. The bid total is $45,650.00.
The project will be expensed as follows:
