AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF
THE CODE OF THE CITY REGARDING SEWER COLLECTION PRACTICES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter29(Sewers) Section 146(Billing and Collection Practices) Subsection
B is amended as follows:
B. Every sewer service charge specified in this section remaining unpaid for thirty 30 forty(403
days after the date of its billing may be increased by ten (10)percent, and thereafier such sewer service
charge may be increased an additional one and one-half(1 '/)percent for each thirty-day period such charge
remains unpaid after the expiration of thirty(30)fat tp{463 days from the date of its billing. (Ord. 13205,

Section 2. Chapter 29 (Sewers) is hereby amended by the addition of a new Section 151
(Charge for Notice of Intent to disconnect) as follows:
Sec. 29-151. Charge for Notice of Intent to disconnect.
Any residential,commercial,industrial,or governmental establishments which has received
a notice of intent to disconnect water service which has been personally delivered to the establishment
shall be charged a service fee,which shall be placed in Appendix Y.
Section 3. Appendix Y is hereby amended by the addition of the following fee:
Sec.29451 $10.00
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its passage and approval.
