A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE A HEADSTONE FROM
DADE MEMORIAL PARK FOR FORMER COMMISSIONER
MARY E. ALLEN, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$1,445.00, PAYABLE FROM ACCOUNT 10-511493;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Commissioner Mary E. Allen, who served the City of Opa-locka as a City
Commissioner with honor and distinction, recently passed away; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to purchase a headstone
for former Commissioner Mary E. Allen; and
WHEREAS, Dade Memorial Park has provided a cost estimate for the headstone in the
amount of$1,445.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to authorize the City
Manager to purchase -a headstone for former Commissioner Mary E. Allen from Dade Memorial
Park.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes and directs
the City Manager to purchase a headstone from Dade Memorial Park for former Commissioner Mary
E. Allen, in an amount not to exceed $1,445.00, payable from Account 10-511493.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
