2005 Budget Review

I. Call to order
A. All present except Russ Evans.

A. None
III. Budget Salary Discussion
A. Mayor Nancy Michael presented a balanced budget for council review. Mayor
Michael reviewed some changes to the General Fund. Mayor Michael shared that
the positions of Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Engineer Technician, Planner,
Mayor, and Clerk Treasurer Salaries will be divided equally between Water,
Sewer and General Fund. Mayor Michael asked for council feedback.
B. It was also noted that Motor Vehicle Highway resurfacing will be out of Local
Road and Street Fund.
C. Storm Sewer maintenance is grossly under budgeted and at the stage we need to
look at serious repairs. Glen Morrow reminded the Council that MS4 is
unfunded, a mandate needed to create a revenue flow. It was suggested that a
storm sewer fee of $5.00 per household be considered in order to fund this
project. See Attached. Mayor Michael asked for Council feedback on this issue.
Tom Roach stated seems a bit aggressive. Mark Hammer would like to look at a
lower number.

A. Tom Roach motioned, Mark Hammer seconded, unanimous approval to adjourn
at 7:33 PM
