A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO ADOPT A
PROVISION FOR SEVERANCE PAY FOR THE CITY
MANAGER, KELVIN BAKER, SR.; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to adopt a provision to
provide Severance Pay for the City Manager, Kelvin Baker, Sr., in the event of termination of his
employment by the City.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby adopts the following
provision for severance pay for the City Manager, Kelvin Baker, Sr.
a. In the event of termination of his employment by the City,the City Manager will be
entitled to five (5) months Severance pay, in accordance with the provisions of
Florida Statutes, Section 215.425.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of October, 2012.
