The primary purpose of the Agency is to eliminate blighted areas by encotuaging the development. • of commercial, industrial, recr=eational and public facilities. The. Alameda Project Area . ~ , was established in 1975 and Area A was amended in 1976, 1980 and 1988: 1n accordance with GASB -Code, Section -2100, Defining the Reporting Entity; the • Agency's financial activities have been included with the' financial activities of the' City _.of Lynwood .(City) for financial reporting purposes of the City. • • • • Included in the financial activity of the Agency is the Lynwood Public • Financing ' Authonry (Authority). fihe Authority is a joint powers authority created by the City • and the Agency. The purpose of the Authority is to issue bonds to enable the Autlionry to make .loans to the Agency to finance public improvement projects and/or to refinance indebtedness incurred by the Agency in connection with public capital ~~ improvements undertaken and completed. Repayments of the bonds are from . revenues received from the Agency pursuant to a loan agreement between the • A~thonn• and -the A¢cncy.
