HomeMy Public PortalAbout2024-07 Confirming that no Village-Owned property is suitable for use as affordable housing pursuant to section 166.0451, Florida StatutesRE SOLUTION NO. 2024-7 A RE SOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYN E, FLORI DA, CONFIRM ING THAT NO VILLAGE-OW NED PROPERTY IS SUITABLE FOR USE AS AFFORD ABLE HOUSING PURSUANT TO SECTION 166.0451, FLORI DA STATUTES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. W HERE AS, Section 166.0451, Florida Statutes, requires that municipalities in the State of Florida prepare an inventory list of all real property within its jurisdiction to which the municipality holds a fee-simple title that is appropriate for use as affordable housing by October 1, 2023, and every three years thereafter; and WHEREAS, Village of Key Biscayne (the "Village") staff has reviewed the inventory of all real property owned by the Village and determined that there is no Village-owned property that is suitable for use as affordable housing; and WHEREAS, the Village Council hereby confirms that no Village-owned property is suitable for use as affordable housing pursuant to Section 166.0451, Florida Statutes; and WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and welfare of the citizens of the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Recitals. That each of the above-stated recitals are hereby adopted, confirmed, and incorporated herein. Section 2. Confirmation. That the Village Council hereby confirms that no Village- owned property is suitable for use as affordable housing pursuant to Section 166.0451, Florida Statutes. Section 3. Effective Date.
