A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT
WITH H.P. AUTOMOTIVE & TOWING SERVICE, INC. TO INCLUDE NEW TOWING
AND STORAGE FEE RATES
WHEREAS, on December 16, 2008, the City Council authorized the City to
enter into an agreement with H.P. Automotive & Towing Service, Inc. to provide towing
and storage services to the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, staff proposed to increase new towing and fee rates, at the request
of the City's tow operator, during the FY 2010-11 budget adoption as part of the FY
2010-11 master fee schedule; and
WHEREAS, staff has determined that a need exists to bring current rates
comparable to those in other areas cities; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting the approval of the contract amendment to
implement new towing and storage fee rates.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS: ~ ~
Section 1. The City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute an amendment to
the agreement with H.P. Automotive & Towing Service, Inc. to include new towing and
storage fee rates, as shown on Attachment "A" to this Resolution.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immetliately upon'its ~
adoption. ~
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of June, 2010.
