A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 1 FOR THE CIVIC CENTER PARKING LOT
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WITH APA ENGINEERING, INC. IN THE AMOUNT NOT
TO' EXCEED $13,445 (ATTACHMENT A), AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, Further analysis of the Civic Center parking area revealed that the
entrance area located at rear section of Bateman Hall is in dire need of repair; and
WHEREAS, on March 2, 2010, the City Council awarded a design contract to
APA Engineering, Inc. for ~the Civic Center Parking Lot Improvement Project

WHEREAS, staff has requested additional design work from the Consultant
which includes review of Bateman Hall rear entry and parking area; and
WHEREAS, this I dditional work has resulted in a Contract Amendment of
$13,445. Staff is requesting the City Council's approval for this Contract Amendment,
see "AlTfACHMENT A".
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council approves the Contract Amendment
No. 1 for the design of the Civic~ Center Parking Lot Improvement, in a not-to-exceed
amount of $13,445. ~
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to approves the Contract Amendment
No. 1 for the design of the Civic Center Parking Lot Improvement in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15t" day of June, 2010.
