Resolution No. 12-8497
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA LOCKA,FLORIDA TO DIRECT THE CITY
MANAGER TO IMPLEMENT A SIDEWALK
INSTALLATION AND REPAIR PROGRAM, WHICH
WOULD INCLUDE HIRING RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF
OPA-LOCKA; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires the City Manager to
implement a program to improve, install and repair the City's sidewalks; and
WHEREAS, the implementation of the program will include the hiring of residents from
Opa-locka to assist in installing and repairing the sidewalks; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka,directs the City Manager to
implement a program to install and repair the City sidewalks,which would include hiring qualified
residents of the City of Opa-locka to make the necessary installations and repairs,when possible.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby directs and authorizes the
City Manager to implement a program to install and repair City sidewalks, which includes hiring
qualified residents of the City of Opa-locka to make the necessary installations and repairs, when
possible.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
