Resolution No. 12-8502
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA LOCKA,FLORIDA,DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXPLORE THE FEASIBILITY OF
ADDITIONAL FEDERAL FUNDING; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka is in need of additional Federal
funds to help pay for programs and projects in the City.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby directs and authorizes the
City Manager to explore the feasibility of securing additional funding from the Federal Government
through an extension of the contract with our current state lobbying firm,Becker and Poliakoff,PA.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 12th DAY OF December,2012.
