RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF TOWER DRIVE FROM HAMEL
ROAD TO THE CUL-DE-SAC WEST OF PINTO DRIVE
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted September 3, 1991, the city
council ordered the improvement of Tower Drive from Hamel Road to the cul-de-sac
west of Pinto Drive by resurfacing the roadway with 1.5 inches of bituminous
paving.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Medina, Minnesota that the city clerk -treasurer shall prepare and cause to be
inserted in the official newspaper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement
for bids upon the making of the above improvement. The advertisement shall be
published once at lease three weeks before opening of the bids, shall specify the
work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the clerk -treasurer until
/d:Uci .m. on the 24th day of July, 1992, at which time they will be publicly
opened in the council chambers at city hall by the clerk -treasurer and the city
engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the city council at 8:00
p.m. on the 4th day of August, 1992 in the council chambers. Any bidder whose
responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an
opportunity to address the council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be
considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk -treasurer and accompanied by a
cash deposit, cashier's check or certified check payable to the clerk -treasurer for
the five percent of the amount of such bid.
