WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka had certain allegations arise with regard to an Opa- locka employee; and WHEREAS, due to the nature of the allegation, the City of Opa-locka decided to hire an independent investigator to look into the matter; and WHEREAS,the total fee for the investigation was $9,105.00;the City Manager made an initial payment of$5,000.00,the extent of his authority,on 11/26/12,leaving $4,105.00 remaining balance; and WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to approve payment of the balance to Coffey Burlington, for investigation services regarding allegations against a City employee.
