RESOLUTION NO. (P
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE IMPROVEMENT
OF PIONEER TRAIL FROM T . H .55 TO A POINT 1, 500 FEET
SOUTHEAST THEREOF
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of
Pioneer Trail from T . H . 55 to a point of 1,500 feet southeast thereof by constructing
a roadway with stablization fabric, 12 inches of aggregate base and 4-1/2 inches of
bituminous paving 24 feet in width with 6 foot gravel shoulders and by reconfiguring
the intersection of Pioneer Trail and T.H.55, bids were received, opened and
tabulated according to law, and the bids shown on Exhibit A attached hereto were
received complying with the advertisement; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. of Buffalo, Minnesota is
the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of
Medina, Minnesota as follows:
1. The mayor and clerk -treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to enter
into a contract with Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. in the name of the City of Medina
for the improvement of Pioneer Trail from T . H . 55 to a point 1,500 feet
southeast thereof according to the plans and specifications therefor approved
by the City Council and on file in the office of the clerk -treasurer.
2. The clerk -treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to
all bidders the deposits made with their bids , except that the bids of the
successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract
has been signed.
