RESOLUTION NO. 13-8523
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ISSUE REQUEST FOR
QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) FOR QUALIFIED
INDIVIDUALS OR FIRMS INTERESTED IN
ASSISTING THE CITY WITH "BROWNFIELD"
REHABILITATION AND DEVELOPMENT;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka has a number of sites which are environmentally
challenged or contaminated, known as "Brownfields"; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to secure assistance from qualified individuals or firms
with innovative ideas for rehabilitating and developing "Brownfield" sites within the City, and
for obtaining grant funds to assist with this.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Session 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Session 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, authorizes and directs the
City Manager to issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ), seeking submissions from qualified
individuals or firms with innovative ideas as to how the City can rehabilitate and develop
"Brownfield" sites within the City of Opa-locka.
Session 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
