RESOLUTION NO. 901`es
RESOLUTION GRANTING A CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT TO DON KARINIEMI FOR
AN OFFICE/WAREHOUSE/ASSEMBLY FACILITY AT 62 HAMEL ROAD
WHEREAS, Don Kariniemi (Applicant) has applied for a conditional use permit
for an office/warehouse/assembly facility at 62 Hamel Road; and
WHEREAS, the City's zoning ordinance requires a conditional use permit under
such circumstances; and
WHEREAS, the planning commission and city council have reviewed the
Applicant's request and have determined that granting a conditional use permit to
the Applicant will not adversely affect the development of adjacent properties .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Medina that a conditional use permit be granted for the stated purpose to the
Applicant, subject to the following conditions:
1. It is acknowledged that retail sales will be conducted by the business granted
this conditional use permit;
2. There shall be no exterior storage on the site;
3. All exterior signs on site must comply with city code requirements;
4. The exterior building materials shall be in compliance with city code
requirements;
5. All trash containers must be kept indoors or screened from view by opaque
fencing or other similar material;
6. Landscaping must meet city code requirements;
7. Parking shall be accomplished in a manner consistent with parking plan
presented to the planning commission on August 11, 1992;
8. The hours of operation shall be Gam to lOpm daily;
9. The number of employees shall not exceed five;
10. Exterior lighting shall be designed and installed so that the globe is recessed
and enclosed on all sides except the bottom and no light is cast directly on any
other property;

11. There shall be no loudspeakers or outside telephone bells allowed on site;
12. The fire department shall review the site for compliance with all fire code
regulations;
13. The building and site shall meet all state and city building code requirements;
and
14. The Applicant shall pay to the city an administration fee in an amount
sufficient to reimburse the city for its costs in reviewing this application.
