AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO A SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRAM AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY OF JEFFERSON PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION WITH THE MISSOURI
HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR EXTENDING PEDESTRIAN AND
BICYCLE FACILITIES TO ADRIAN'S ISLAND NATURE AREA AS A PART OF THE JEFFERSON
CITY GREENWAY SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, On July 3, 2007, the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department approved
Project No. STP-3101(501)under the Transportation Enhancement Funds Program;
and
WHEREAS, This project is a part of the Jefferson City Greenway System Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, An extension of time is necessary to complete construction plans to avoid loss of
grant funding.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a supplemental
agreement on behalf of the City of Jefferson Parks and Recreation Commission with the Missouri
Highway and Transportation Commission to extend until December 1, 2010 the deadline for
submission of final plans, specification and estimates to MoDOT and until February 1, 2011 to
receive authority to advertise for bids.
Section 2. The agreement shall be substantially the same in form and content as that
agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
passage an,,approval.
