ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON PARKS AND
RECREATION COMMISSION WITH TRANSYSTEMS CORPORATION FOR DESIGN AND
CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION SERVICES FOR ADRIAN'S ISLAND ACCESS.
WHEREAS, TranSystems Corporation was selected as the firm best qualified to provide professional
services related to the Adrian's Island Access; and
WHEREAS, The City Council passed Ordinance No. 14320 on January 22, 2008 authorizing an
agreement with TranSystems Corporation for preliminary design services for Adrian's Island
Access; and
WHEREAS, MoDOT has authorized the preparation of final plans, specifications and estimates; and
WHEREAS, The City of Jefferson Parks and Recreation Commission formally requests City Council
approval of the contract; and
WHEREAS, In order for the City to receive reimbursement of a portion of consultant costs, the executed
contract must also receive approval of the Missouri Department of Transportation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. TranSystems Corporation is hereby approved as the best qualified firm to provide
professional services and its proposal is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an agreement on behalf of the
City of Jefferson Parks and Recreation Commission with TranSystems Corporation for final design and
construction administration services for the Adrian's Island Access.
Section 3. This agreement shall be substantially the same in form and content as that agreement
attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
approval.
