AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1995 BUDGET
WHEREAS Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, adopted a budget for
calendar year 1995, and
WHEREAS Common Council has determined it is necessary to transfer money from one
major budget classification to another within a department or office, and
WHEREAS the transfer does not require the expenditure of more money than the total
amount set out in the budget as finally determined under Indiana Code
6-1.1, and
WHEREAS this transfer may be made under Indiana Code 6-1.1-18-6 without notice
and without the approval of the State Board of Tax Commissioners,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the 1995 budget be amended as follows:
1. Delete $10,000.00 from Human Rights Commission
Existing account no. 10 1 - 1- 1- 10 1 -3-3909
2. Add $9,289.00 to Part Time Help
Existing account no. 101-1-1-101-1-1198
3. Add $576.00 to Social Security
Existing account no. 101-1-1-101-1-1220
4. Add $135.00 to Medical Insurance
Existing account no. 101-1-1-101-1-1222
1. Delete $365.00 from Other Supplies
Existing account no. 101-6-7-701-2-2410
2. Add $365.00 to Furniture and Fixtures
Existing account no. 10 1 -6-7-701-4-4420

RE: Ordinance No.1-1995
Dear Council Member.
The above ordinance transfers $10AW.00 from a line item for the Human Rights Commission in the
Mayor's budget to the employee compensation accounts to hire the Part Time Human Rights
Administrator requested by the Human Rights Commission.
This ordinance also transfers money in the Planning Department to enable it to spend $365.00 for a
secretary's chair and a humidifier.
The ordinance can be passed with all three readings in a single meeting upon suspension of rules to
advance to second and third readings.
