RESOLUTION NO. 13-8543
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE
STATE LEGISLATURE TO PLACE SIGNAGE ON I-95
NORTH AND SOUTH BOUND AT THE 135TH STREET
EXIT INDICATING THE EXIT FOR THE CITY OF OPA-
LOCKA; PROVIDING FOR RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the City of Opa-locka needs exit
signs on North and South bound I-95, at 135th Street, indicating that the exit leads to the City of
Opa-locka; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to request the State
Legislature to place exits signs at the southbound and northbound exits on 1-95 at 135th Street,
indicating that the exit leads to the City of Opa-locka.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka formally requests the State
Legislature to provide exit signage on 1-95 at 135th Street, northbound and southbound exits,
indicating that the exit leads to the City of Opa-locka.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of February, 2013.
