RESOLUTION NO. 13-8550
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO IMPLEMENT A PILOT JOBS
INITIATIVE PROGRAM HIRING CITY RESIDENTS TO
WASH CITY VEHICLES; PROVIDING FOR RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to assist the residents
of Opa-locka by authorizing the City Manager to implement a pilot jobs initiative program; and
WHEREAS, the intent of the program will be to create a car wash service for City
owned vehicles, and hire residents of Opa-locka to perform the service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby directs and
authorizes the City Manager to implement a Pilot Jobs Initiative Program to hire City Residents
to wash City owned vehicles, which shall be in compliance with all applicable Federal, state, and
local laws with the final proposal to be presented to the City Commission on March 13, 2013 for
approval prior to implementation.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
