RESOLUTION NO. 13-8561
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO APPLY FOR THE COPS FEDERAL
FUNDING GRANT; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City previously received funding from the Federal Government COPS
Grant Program to assist with public safety; and
WHEREAS, the next application deadline is approaching and the City Commission
desires to authorize the City Manager to apply for funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Session 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Session 2. The City Commission directs and authorizes the City Manager to take all
steps necessary to apply for the current COPS Grant funding cycle.
Session 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of March, 2013.
