CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-112
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR
CERTAIN PLANNING AND ZONING APPLICATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Medina has adopted certain land use controls, including
a zoning ordinance and subdivision regulations, to control development of land
within the City; and
WHEREAS, those regulations allow property owners to request amendments to
or permits under the terms of the City's ordinances; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of an application, the City must review the application
to determine its compliance with the City's ordinances; and
WHEREAS, in reviewing such applications the City incurs certain expenses
which it has determined should be paid by the applicant rather than the general
public; and
WHEREAS, the City is authorized to impose fees for the purpose of recovering
such costs under Minnesota Statutes, § 462.353, subd. 4 and section 825.51 of the
Code of City Ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary and convenient to establish a schedule
of minimum fees to be charged for the reivew of land use applications .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Medina, Minnesota that the following application fees are hereby established:
1. Variance $ 200
2. Residential conditional
use permit $ 300
3. Commercial conditional
use permit $ 500
4. Plat/Lot Division containing
five or fewer lots $ 650
5. Plat/Lot Division containing
more than five lots $ 1,000

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota that the above fees are the minimum fees to be collected upon acceptance
of an application and are in no way a limitation upon the total fees which may be
collected by the City. Nothing in this resolution shall be construed as in any way
limiting the power of the zoning administrator to collect additional fees if warranted
nor shall it relieve the applicant of responsibility for all costs for reviewing an
application, as specified in section 825.51 of the Code of City Ordinances .

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
