Home My Public Portal AboutOrd. 09-016 <IDrotmmte No. ClH6 of tqe _!~rougq of QIaderd, ~L 3J ~ AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION AND/OR CONSTRUCTION OF A HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTER FOR THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY, APPROPRIATING $1,564/212.50 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND RESERVE ACCOUNTS OF THE BOROUGH FOR THE COST THEREFOR AND AMENDING BOND ORDINANCE "04-10 FINALLY ADOPTED ON MARCH 25, 2004 TO AMEND PART OF THE DESCRIPTION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Borough of Carteret, in the County of Middlesex, New Jersey, hereby authorizes the Acquisition and/or construction of a health and wellness center together with all purposes necessary, incidental or appurtenant thereto: SECTION 2. For said improvements or purposes, there is hereby appropriated the sum of $1,564,212.50 which amounts are made available from Grants, Donations and Endowments in the Current Fund and are hereby authorized to be transferred to the Capital Improvement Fund Reserve Accounts in the amount of $1,564,212.50. SECTION 3. The Capital Budget of the Borough is hereby amended to conform with the provisions of this Ordinance to the extent of any inconsistency herewith. SECTION 4. The purposes described in Section 1 herein are not current expenses. These are all Improvements that the Borough may lawfully undertake as General Improvements, and no part of the costs thereof has been or shall be specially assessed on property specially benefited thereby. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect as provided by Law. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 6. The ordinance of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, hereto finally adopted by the Borough Council on March 25, 2004 numbered 04-10 is hereby amended and supplemented to the extent and with the effect as follows: Section 3(b), 3(c) and 3(d) Insert "and/or Construction of a Health and Wellness Center."
