RESOLU'~ION N0. 79-4
.RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ORDERING THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY, DESIGNATED AS
ANNEXATION N0. 1 (JONES LUMBER) TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood initiated proceedings for
annexation of the hereinafter described territory in compliance
with the resolution of the Local Agency Formation Commission and
pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 .(Part 2 of
Title 4 of Division 4, commencing with Section 35000, of the
Government Code), and
WHEREAS, after proper notice, a public hearing. on. the
proposed annexation was held by the-City Council of the City of
Lynwood, and .
WHEREAS, at said hearing, the number of written protests
were filed by owners of land and: improvements owning less than .
50 percent of the total assessed value of land and improvements
.within the affected territory,-
NOW, THEREFORE., the Gity Council. of the City of Lynwood
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE., DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
1. All proceedings of Annexation. No. 1 to the City of
Ly-nwood have been taken in accordance with tY~e Municipal
Organization Act of 1977 (Part 2 of Title 4 of Division 4,
commencing with Section 35000, of the Government Code);
+ 2. A public hearing has been held. by the City Council _ ,___ _
at the -hour of 7:30 ~p.m. on January 16, 1979, in the Chambers
of the City Council, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California.
3. Written protests filed and not withdrawn represented
owners of land and improvements owning less than 50 percent of
the total assessed value of land and improvements within the
affected territory.
4. The boundaries of the annexation are described in
Exhibit "A," attached hereto anal made a part hereof by this
reference.
5. The annexation of Annexation No. l (Jones Lumber)
to the City of Lynwood is hereby ordered, subject to the folloia-
ing terms and conditions: None.
6. The subject territory shall be subject to existing
bonded indebtedness and/or contractual obligations of the City
of Lynwood.
7. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit five-
- (5) certified copies of this resolution, together with the
required State Board of Equalization fees, to th.e Local Agency
Formation Commission.
