AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT
MCMANIMON & SCOTLAl'ffi, L.L.C.
VARIOUS LEGAL SERVICES
\VHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ("Borough"), is in need of specialized legal
services; and
\VHEREAS, McManimon & Scotland, L.L.c, posses the requisite skill and
expertise to provide such specialized legal services; and
\VHEREAS, the Law Director of the Borough of Cartcret has recommended the
appointment of McManimon & Scotland, L.L.c" to defend the Borough of Carteret
at a cost not to exceed $123,300.00; and
\VHEREAS, the Chief Financial Ofticer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and tile Council of the
Borough ofCarteret, County oflvIiddlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from McManimon & Seotland, L.L.C. for specialized
legal services, at a total cost not to exceed $123,300.00 is hereby
approved,
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:II-5(1)(a) awarded pursuant to the
Borough's Fair and Open process as authorized by law,
3, A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and McManimon & Scotland, L.L.e.
Adopted this 23" day of November, 2009
and certified as a true copy of the
original on November 24, 2009.
